#Notifications
Chester notifies an assignee by email and in the Execution app when a task reaches them, and a process's owner and the people mentioned in the Designer when a comment is written — everyone can switch off the task emails.

#Switch off task emails
In your profile, tab Notifications, switch off Email on new task. It is on by default. The
same switch is on the Execution app's profile page at /profile, which has no link in the menu.
#Limits
- ⚠️ The task email, and the texts of the comment notifications, are German.
- ⚠️ The dashboard card shows the last five comment notifications; clicking one opens the process with its comments. All read marks them read.
- ❌ No bell and no unread badge — in neither app.
- ❌ No email for mentions or comments, and no notification when a process is deployed.
- ❌ Only the task email can be switched off.
