#Import an adapter from the Registry

The Registry holds ready-made adapter templates; applying one copies its name, type, path and actions with their schemas into a system once — security settings, logins and later changes in the Registry do not come along.

#What a template brings

 R --> C1["✅ Name, type, base path"]
 R --> C2["✅ Actions with parameters,
request and response schemas"]
 R -. "not copied" .-> N["❌ Security settings, headers,
timeout, transformations,
login, webhook details, icon"]
 A --> E["You add: environment,
credential, settings"]

#Apply a template

 1. Open the system and, on the Adapters tab, click Add adapter.
 2. Switch to Registry adapters. The list shows every template with its icon, name and description; Search the registry … filters by name and description.
 3. Pick a template. The next step shows "n actions will be copied" once the template has loaded, and fills in the Adapter name and the path.
 4. Adjust the name if needed, and click Apply template.

Then set up what the template does not bring:

⚠️ Wait until the number of actions appears before you click Apply template. Clicked earlier — or if the Registry cannot be reached at that moment — the adapter is created without actions, and nothing says so.

⚠️ The chip on each template reads Kopieren, in German.

The adapter is copied into your system and has no connection to the template afterwards:

 • ❌ A change to the template in the Registry never reaches your adapter. To get it, delete the adapter and import the template again.
 • ❌ There are no template versions to choose from.
 • ❌ A whole system — several adapters at once — cannot be imported.

Every template is imported into the system whose page you opened. Its name must be unique there for its direction: importing the same template twice needs a second name.

#When the Registry is not reachable

The list is loaded by your browser. If the Registry cannot be reached, the tab says Registry unreachable. — create your own adapter instead. No login to the Registry is needed.

#What you cannot do

 • ❌ Filter the list by type — search by name instead.
 • ❌ See the number of actions before picking a template.
 • ❌ Keep the template's icon: the adapter shows its type's symbol.
 • ⚠️ If creating the actions fails after the adapter was created, the adapter stays without actions; delete it before trying again, or the name is already taken.
